So, whether it’s your first or 10th time, you will never get enough of this spectacular weekend event. Read ahead for the official details on Lollapalooza 2019, including lineup, schedule, and some tips for enjoying this signature event.

When and Where is Lollapalooza 2019

Lollapalooza 2019 runs from August 1 – 4, 2019 in Grant Park. If you are a seasoned Lolla-goer, then you should know the venue quite well as this is where it’s been held since 2005. If this is your first time, then you are in for a treat! Grant Park offers Millennium Park where you can find the famous Cloud Gate (also known as the Chicago Bean), as well as the spectacular Buckingham Fountain. It’s a great place to see concerts all day and night, and if you have any downtime, you can just chill and appreciate some of the most amazing lakes and skyline views the city has to offer.

As for the operating hours, the festival is from 11 am to 10 pm each day. Kidapalooza, the accompanying family-friendly festival, runs from 11 am to 7 pm each day in a separate but adjacent area.

How Do I Get To the Venue

Served by two airports, Midway and O’Hare, Chicago is fairly easy to get to. O’Hare serves more airlines and has more flights while Midway is smaller and easier to navigate. If you live downstate, or in the general area, Amtrak is also an option.

Getting to and from the festival can be a bit of a challenge especially if you are not familiar in Chicago. It is also important to  note that a downtown festival location may mean that your hotel is a few miles from the venue. But don’t sweat! There are several transit options, including ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft, the city’s mass transit system CTA, rental cars, or the plain old taxi.

For those who are driving to Grant Park (which we don’t recommend), there is a limited number of garages and they are quite pricey. If you want an eco-friendlier option though, cycling is the best way to go! The festival offers bike parking at Congress and Michigan, both are located south of the main entrance.
