Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Blake Shelton is embarking on the second leg of his successful Friends and Heroes Tour. Jenna, played by Tony Award winner Jessie Mueller, is a waitress and an expert pie maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. A baking contest and the town’s new doctor may be her way out, but she needs to find the strength within herself for a fresh start. Be it with your boo or with friends, watching this uplifting and hilarious show is definitely a little slice of heaven.

Tootsie – Marquis Theatre, NYC

Another musical comedy on the lips of theater fans is Tootsie, a show based on the 1982 Sydney Pollack film of the same name. The musical is about a male actor who pretends to be a woman to get a gig, showing a nearly full-on satirical take on the narcissistic male ego. Hilarious and heartwarming, the big dance numbers and Borscht belter humor of this musical will have you laughing and sighing in your seat

Hadestown – Walter Kerr Theatre, NYC

If Greek Mythology is your cup of tea, then the Tony-winning musical Hadestown by from Anaïs Mitchell and Great Comet director Rachel Chavkin might be for you. This acclaimed musical weaves two romantic mythologies: the tales of Hades and Persephone, king and queen of the underworld, and Orpheus and Eurydice. Performed by a vibrant ensemble of actors, dancers, and singers, Hadestown is a sumptuous, hypnotic theatrical experience you and your date won’t soon forget.

Meanwhile, the NBA All-Star Game, headed by Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James, will be held on Sunday, Feb 16.
