2019 Concerts And Albums You Should Look Forward To

Thanksgiving is just right around the corner. And then comes Christmas. And before you know it, you’re celebrating New Year’s Eve – champagne in hand and fireworks on the sky.  Just like that, we’re welcoming 2019 with open arms. For many, the new year signals new beginnings, chances to start over, and awesome things to come. In music, this means we have a whole array of new concerts and albums to look forward to. Some concerts have already been announced and you can expect more announcements ahead. In this article, we’ve tallied both confirmed and rumored concerts to look forward to in 2019.

Adele – Rumored

“Rumour Has It” that a brand new album is in the works for Adele. This is great news for fans as the “Hello” singer has been on a long break from the music scene for quite a while. According to The Sunthe English songstress is back in the United Kingdom to write some songs over the summer. The album is alleged to be released on or before the Christmas of 2019. The singer told fans to expect a long break from her after her highly successful 2016 world tour, Adele Live 2016. This marks one of the first major developments for Adele since vocal chord damage forced her to cancel two Wembley Stadium shows in 2017.

Carrie Underwood, “Cry Pretty Tour” – May 2019

Now here’s something that is totally happening. Fans of country superstar, Carrie Underwood finally has something to look forward to. Carrie announced the dates for her Cry Pretty Tour 360 in 2019  last Wednesday (Aug. 8). The Americal Idol alum will be returning to the road on May 1, 2019, for a tour that runs through October. Maddie & Tae and Runaway June are set to come along as opening acts. The news came just one month before Carrie released her sixth studio album, Cry Prettywhich is currently a massive success. Each ticket purchase to the Cry Pretty 360 Tour comes with a code to redeem for a copy of the album. Cher, “Here We Go Again” – January 2019

2019 just became even sweeter! Living legend and icon, Cher announced an epic new tour. The Here We Go Again Tour will mark her first trek across the U.S. in five years. The news was announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last September.  The 72-year-old entertainer, who is currently doing a series of residencies in Las Vegas, released her brand new album, Dancing Queen last Sept. 28. The album was inspired after starring in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. And so, you can expect performances to her ABBA tribute album, in addition to her own singles. The Here We Go Again Tour is debuting on January 7, 2019, at the Hertz Arena in Florida. It will be running through until May 18, 2019, at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Drake – Rumored

We’re counting on tradition on this one. Drake has been hitting the road either solo or as a co-headliner every year since 2012. And if the rapper is a creature of habit, we are quite positive we’ll have another tour coming our way this 2019. What would we do without our summer tour staple to look forward to? Drake announced he will start recording a new project as soon as the Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour wraps up. We’ll keep you posted with the latest news regarding the Canadian rapper’s 2019 plans.

Elton John, “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” 

What a bittersweet feeling. Another music legend, Elton John, announced that he is retiring from touring. And he is not the only one. Already this year, Ozzy Osbourne, Paul Simon, Joan Baez, and Minus the Bear amongst many other musicians, have announced their final tours. But the 71-year old musician isn’t going out without a last hurrah. Elton is prolonging the inevitable by touring around the world for the next three years (yes, 3 years). So you have plenty of opportunities yet to rock out alongside “Crocodile Rock” and “Rocket Man”. The Farewell Yellow Brick Tour has set sail since 2018, with plenty of locations in North America left for you to attend.

Garth Brooks – March 2019

Fans of the country superstar, Garth Brooks, were saddened when he announced he would take a break for music on 2018. But guess what? The country singer has announced plans for a multi-year stadium tour. On a press conference last October 17, Garth Brooks announced his stadium tour plans for 2019 and beyond. Garth will apparently be hitting 10-12 cities each year for three years. He already announced the first two concerts for this stadium tour. The first two stops will be The Dome at America’s Center St. Louis, Montana (March 9, 2019) and State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona (March 23, 2019). You should expect more announcements about future dates and venues of the tour soon.

Kiss “End Of The Road” – January 2019

We have another farewell tour to bittersweetly look forward to. Rock band extraordinaire KISS, has just announced that their upcoming End of the Road: World Tour will officially be their farewell tour. The news came at the end of their performance on the season 13 finale of America’s Got Talent. In the show, Paul Stanley announced that “This is gonna be our last tour. It will be the most explosive, biggest show we’ve ever done. People who love us, come see us. If you’ve never seen us, this is the time. This will be the show.” End of the Road: World Tour is expected for a three-year run, with legs all across Europe, North America, and Asia. The first leg is a lengthy one, with the band then keeping the stage show going with dates booked into mid-April. The tour will be debuting in Vancouver, British Columbia on January 31 at Rogers Place.
