Broadway shows come and go. Some plays and musicals stay with us for a long period, and others are limited engagements only. But one thing is for sure — saying goodbye is never easy. Especially when a number of great Broadway productions decided to call it quits and will only run for a few more weeks.

So if you’ve been putting off seeing these shows for later, the perfect time to secure tickets to these legendary plays is now! Here are some not-to-be-missed shows that are currently lighting up the theater industry, but will soon be departing the Great White Way.

Network

When & where: Closing on June 8, 2019 at the Belasco Theatre

After its second extension at the Belasco Theatre, Network‘s NYC run  is now coming to an end. Based on the 1976 film of the same name that earned Peter Finch a posthumous Oscar, this Broadway show is a churning and immersive stage adaptation you should definitely check out. The multimedia-driven production is starred by the Tony, Olivier, Emmy, and Golden Globe Award winner Bryan Cranston. Joining Cranston on stage are Tony Goldwyn as Max Schumacher, Tatiana Maslany in her Broadway debut as Diana Christensen, and Tony winner Frank Wood as Nelson Chaney. Adapted by Tony and Olivier Award winner Lee Hall from Paddy Chayefsky’s Academy Award-winning film, Network depicts a media landscape where opinion trumps fact.

Synopsis: Howard Beale, news anchor-man, isn’t pulling in the viewers. In his final broadcast he unravels live on screen. But when ratings soar, the network seizes on their newfound populist prophet, and Howard becomes the biggest thing on TV.

Kiss Me, Kate

The winner of the first-ever Tony Award for Best Musical, Kiss Me, Kate is Broadway’s most sparkling achievement in the field of musical comedy masterpieces. Kelli O’Hara stars in the Broadway revival of this classic Cole Porter musical, directed by Scott Ellis and choreographed by Warren Carlyle. A combination of spectacular songs, award-winning casts and the Tony nominated Best Choreography of the year in a “Too Darn Hot” blockbuster, this musical is a must-watch, if you haven’t already.

All My Sons

When & where: Closing on June 30, 2019 at the American Airlines Theatre – Roundabout Theatre Company

Directed by three-time Tony winner Jack O’Brien, the revival of All My Sons is a timely and straightforward morality drama about conscience versus cowardice. Led by A-lister starts Annette Bening, Tracy Letts and Benjamin Walker, this Broadway production is directed by the equally talented three-time Tony winner Jack O’Brien. Additionally, Arthur Miller’s writing brings out increasingly intense performances and further enrich a fine production.

Synopsis: Set in the aftermath of World War II, All My Sons follows the Keller family, who struggle to stay intact and fight for their future when a long-hidden secret threatens to emerge—forcing them to reckon with greed, denial, repentance and post-war disenchantment across generations.

My Fair Lady

When & Where: Closing on July 7, 2019 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater – Lincoln Center Theater

The highly-acclaimed My Fair Lady returned to Broadway in 2018 after its first run 26 years ago. And now, the revival will play its final performance in the summer. King Lear

83-year old Glenda Jackson as King Lear is one great reminder of why we go to the theater. The Tony and two-time Academy Award winner leads a cast that includes Tony winner Jayne Houdyshell, Elizabeth Marvel, Aisling O’Sullivan, Pedro Pascal, John Douglas Thompson and Golden Globe winner Ruth Wilson.

Synopsis: In William Shakespeare’s royal-family tragedy, the aging King Lear divides his estate between his three daughters, ultimately refusing his youngest and favorite her share because she won’t publicly admit her love for him. The decision leads to chaos and treachery within the kingdom and madness for its monarch.

When & where: Closing on July 7, 2019 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre – Manhattan Theatre Club

James Graham’s electrifying new play Ink comes to Broadway in the exhilarating Samuel J. Friedman Theatre production, directed by Rupert Goold. Leading the cast as Rupert Murdoch and Larry Lamb, the editor of The Sun, are two-time Olivier Award winner Bertie Carvel (reprising his Olivier-Award winning performance) and Olivier Award winner Jonny Lee Miller, respectively. How about an imaginative look at Hillary and Bill Clinton during the 2008 presidential campaign? Two-time Tony Award and three-time Emmy winner Laurie Metcalf plays as Hillary and two-time Tony Award and six-time Emmy winner John Lithgow portray Bill Clinton. Hillary and Clinton, that premiered in 2016 in Chicago, is by Tony nominee Lucas Hnath and directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello.

Synopsis: Behind closed doors in the state of New Hampshire during the early days of 2008, a former First Lady named Hillary is in a desperate bid to save her troubled campaign for President of the United States. Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus
