What could be more magical than watching your favorite Disney classic, Anastasia on stage? Anastasia is celebrating its first-ever season on Broadway. And the production has announced that it will embark on a North American tour, which launched this fall. Even if you don’t live in New York, New York, you’ll surely enjoy this production in one of the many venues along the way. The tour has begun last October 9 at the Proctors Theatre in Schenectady, New York. Anastasia will be visiting over 30 cities in its first year, including Baltimore, Appleton, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Milwaukee. Additional cities and casting will be announced in the future.
Synopsis
Inspired by the beloved films, Anastasia transports us from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing conman and a lovable ex-aristocrat.
