We all have a sort of love-and-hate relationship with Christmas songs, but one thing’s for sure – they’re a big part of the yuletide season. We’ve listed the best Christmas albums released this year, so get ready to update your holiday playlist!

We don’t know about you, but it’s starting to look a lot more like Christmas everywhere. And if you’re ready to start embracing the holiday spirit,  get ready to jump on the holiday train! It’s time to start hanging up the lights, setting up the tree, and of course, curating the ultimate Christmas playlist for the year! Every year we receive our fair share of new Christmas album releases. It’s usually hit-or-miss, but we’ve saved you all of the trouble. Jessie J – The Christmas Day

The Christmas Day is Jessie J‘s first-ever Christmas album, and we’re right to rejoice. If you love classic Christmas songs, you’re in for a treat. The English songstress has remade classic songs like “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” and “Silent Night” alongside none other than award-winning producer David Foster. But that’s not everything that makes this album special. To add a bit of a modern flare,  Jessie J has also included some pretty awesome collaborations like “Winter Wonderland” with Boyz II Men and “The Christmas Song” with Babyface. The album contains 12 Christmas songs with other collaborations fro artists like  Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

John Legend – A Legendary Christmas

John Legend and Christmas songs – it’s like a recipe for chocolate for the ears. And you can expect nothing less than eargasm from A Legendary Christmas. The album contains your quintessential holiday must-haves like “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire).”  But anyone will get excited knowing that this album contains a collaboration with legends Esperanza Spalding and Stevie Wonder, who breaks out the harmonica on “What Christmas Means to Me.” If that wouldn’t complete your playlist perfectly, we don’t know what could. It doesn’t stop there, however. John Legend is also taking A Legendary Christmas on a 25-date concert tour. Talk about taking it one step further. The Christmas tour will start off on November 15 in Clearwater, Florida, and wrapping up December 30 in San Diego.

Gwen Stefani – You Make It Feel Like Christmas

Gwen Stefani‘s 2017 release You Make it Feel Like Christmas is being re-released with five spanking new additions to the tracklisting. Gwen Stefani just released the Deluxe Edition of last year’s Christmas album. Many artists try to do every project they can get their hands on, and many fail. But not Gwen Stefani – even in the middle of a Las Vegas residency. The new edition contains iconic hits like “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” and “Winter Wonderland.” Gwen Stefani also has a new collaboration with Chilean singer-songwriter Mon Laferte to cover “Feliz Navidad.” There are also new originals, “Secret Santa” and “Cheer for the Elves.”

Monkees – The Christmas Party

The Monkees have also joined the Christmas album bandwagon and released their first-ever holiday album, Christmas Party. This comes just two years after the release of their highly-successful 50th-anniversary album, Good Times! Christmas party, produced by  Fountain of Wayne’s Adam Schlesinger, features vocals by new vocals by surviving Monkees Micky DolenzMichael Nesmith, and Peter Tork as well as vintage recordings of the late Davy Jones. New songs were written by Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo including “What Would Santa Do.” Christmas party also contains collaborations with Andy Partridge of XTC (“Unwrap You At Christmas”), Michael Chabon and Schlesinger (“House of Broken Gingerbread”) and guitarist Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey of the Minus 5 (“Jesus Christ.”) The album also contains tracks like  “Wonderful Christmastime,” “Angels We Have Heard on High” and “Merry Christmas, Baby.”

Engelbert Humperdinck – ‘Warmest Christmas Wishes

Fans of popular crooner Englebert Humperdinck will be ecstatic to know that the singer is finally releasing a second Christmas album, Warmest Christmas Wishes. This is big news, considering that Engelbert’s last holiday album, A Merry Christmas with Engelbert Humperdinck was released 38 years ago. If you love your old vintage Christmas classics, this album is definitely for you. Warmest Christmas Wishes include covers like The Eagles’ ‘Please Come Home For Christmas’, Chris Rea’s ‘Driving Home For Christmas’ and Gilbert O’Sullivan’s ‘Christmas Song’ and two new songs ‘Christmas For The Family’ and ‘Around The Christmas Tree’.

David Archuleta – Christmas Every Day

American Idol alum, David Archuleta has very recently released his second Christmas set, Christmas Every Day. The album, which was 9 years in the making, is  David’s eighth studio album overall and his second Christmas release, following Christmas from the Heart in 2009. A self-professed Christmas song lover, David went to the studio to record some classic holiday tunes and has co-written three new originals. Christmas Every Day perfectly captures the classic vibes of the ’50s and ’60s with songs like Mary, Did You Know, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, and Holly Jolly Christmas. Meanwhile, the albums first single, “Christmas Every Day,” was co-written with Cooley and Dave Barnes. Additionally, David is supporting the new album with a tour that starts Nov. 26 in Los Angeles, running until Dec. 21 in Richfield, Utah. Eric Clapton – Happy Xmas

Wrapping up our list is Eric Clapton’s first-ever holiday release, Happy Xmas. The album is a collection of seasonal songs. It contains a sweet rendition of the classic, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Happy Xmas contains 14 swoon-worthy tracks including  “White Christmas” and “Silent Night.”  There are also some lesser-known but still lovely tracks like original, “For Love on Christmas Day.” You surely won’t mind hearing this legend’s voice over the holidays.
