BTS Love Yourself World Tour Will Make Stops at Six North American Cities
The Korean pop superstar group, BTS surprised their fans last April 26 with the announcement of their upcoming world tour, Love Yourself. Much to the delight of their North American fans, the announcement was released with concert dates at six different venues across the United States and Canada. The North American leg will start with four shows in Los Angeles, California on September 5 to 9 and will wrap up in Chicago with back-to-back shows on October 2 and 3.
The world tour comes closely after the release of yet another commercially successful studio album, Love Yourself: Tear. The album managed to sell more than 1.4 million copies domestically during the first six days of its pre-sale period. It’s first single, “Fake Love” was debuted with a live performance at the 2018 Billboard Music Award. BTS also performed the song during their second appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show on May 25, further solidifying their popularity in the U.S. Fake Love also took the number 1 spot at the Billboard 200 on May 27, making it BTS’ highest-charting album in the United States.
The tour, which will kick off in their home country, South Korea on August 25, also includes a 4-city European leg. Big Hit Productions, however, has given hints on more dates and locations in the near future.
