Imagine Dragons: Tour Dates

Don’t Miss Out on Imagine Dragons’ EVOLVE 2018 Tour this Summer!

This 2018, alternative rock sensation Imagine Dragons, thrilled fans everywhere after dropping new music and announcing another set of upcoming U.S. tour dates. The band’s extremely successful EVOLVE Tour is extending this summer, adding a new member to its cast. America’s Got Talent winner, Grace Vanderwaal, will be joining the group on tour as their opening act and will be performing with them in more than two dozen cities all across North America.

The tour, which is produced by Live Nation, kicked off last June 5 at XFINITY Theatre in Hartford Connecticut. It will hit 39 cities in the United States and Canada, including major cities like Nashville, Los Angeles, and Florida. The tour will finally wrap up on October 20 at the Toyota Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

The Grammy Award-winning band announced the concert dates for their upcoming tour after the release of their album, Evolve’s fourth single, “Next To Me” via KIDInaKORNER / Interscope Records. The song, which was produced by Alex Da Kid, is the latest music released by Imagine Dragons ever since Evolve.

Evolve was a huge 2017 success both critically and commercially. As the biggest rock album of that year, it was certified platinum by the RIAA and peaked at the second spot on the Billboard 200. It has since sold over $1.3 million albums in the United States alone and currently has around 4 billion streams globally.

Last year’s leg of the Evolve Tour sold out arenas all over the world. It also featured support from various artists like K. Flay and Group Love.

This summer, HBO Documentary Films will also release Believer, produced by Live Nation Productions. The documentary follows Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds on his mission while he explores how the Mormon community treats its LGBTQ members. It will feature Reynolds as he organizes his project, Love Loud Festival, his annual concert for a cause in dedication to sparking conversation regarding the importance of loving each other unconditionally, regardless of sexual orientation. Believer also won as a runner-up for the Festival Favorite Award at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.

Reynolds inspiration behind the documentary came after receiving an overwhelming amount of fan mail from the Mormon LGBT youth. These young people are often ostracized by their community after coming out. “I’d rather do all that I can with this lucky spot that I’ve been put in to hopefully put out a fire,” Reynolds reiterated. You can watch Believer’s trailer here.

The Love Loud Festival will be happening this July 28, 2018, at the Rice Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah. The festival stage will be packing heavy names in the music industry. Zedd, Grace VanderWaal, Neon Tree’s Tyler Glenn, Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda, Vagabon, and A.W. will be completing the lineup.

Love Loud Festival, which will be on its second year running, will donate its proceeds to a number of local and international LGBTQ+ charities like the Tegan and Sara Foundation and Encircle. The LOVELOUD foundation aims to raise $1 million in proceeds this year. You can show your support to the cause by buying your tickets here.

Imagine Dragons is partnering with CID Entertainment to offer VIP Packages on their EVOLVE tour. The three VIP packages include options for a premium reserved or a General Admission pit ticket in addition with an early venue entry. ‘Believer’ and ‘Whatever It Takes’ VIP packages, meanwhile, offer a chance for fans to interact with the band’s show sets and memorabilia at the ‘Evolve Pre-Party.’

About Imagine Dragons

Imagine Dragons is an American 4-man alternative rock band famous for their powerful and emotional anthems. The band’s first big hit, debut album Night Visions which snagged the number 2 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. It earned them multiple awards. The album was also certified double platinum, mainly as a result of the success of one of the band’s most iconic songs, “Radioactive.”

Their latest album, Evolve was released in 2017. Evolve shows the band’s shift towards a brighter perspective that has a more emotional layer, a contrast to their previous albums. Dan Reynolds, the lead vocalist, has said in interviews that this is because the past year had been the healthiest of his life – a direct reflection on the album itself.

In fact, the album’s lead single, “Believer,” Imagine Dragons perfectly encapsulates this journey. Its slight hip-hop vibes and bold vocals signify the strength and resilience it takes to overcome adversity. Guitarist Wayne Sermon expresses that, “Over the past eight years, we’ve gone through some bad times that helped us evolve. We didn’t always want to grow, and the pain was a gateway to that growth.”

The album includes songs that nod to the band’s superpower in creating anthems, as displayed in songs like “Whatever It Takes” and “Thunder. However, Imagine Dragons offer something that they haven’t done before – love songs. “Walking The Wire” contains some acoustic feel with its soft guitar tones and vocals. Meanwhile, “I Don’t Know Why” is a more upbeat track but never lets up on intensity. But perhaps the most melodramatic of these love songs, “I’ll Make It Up To You,” that takes the cap in its raw emotion and honesty.

Evolve is perhaps, the truest form of reflection of this band’s journey through life – evolution.
